The uganda police have arrested more suspects relating to the attempted murder of general Katumba wamala.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday the police spokesperson Fred Enanga said that some of the group memebers that has been terrorising the country for long have been arrested.
A one kanaabe, a 30 year old member and former boda boda 2010 member had also been among the arrested and also helped police reconstruct on how they planned thier murders.
Police have also put a 5 million bounty on those who can lead them to a one sheik Bukenya who is said to be the leader of the group.
According to police, these gangs hid out in areas of Nansana, Katooke, and Namuwongo.
Police recovered thier motorcycles both red in color registration plate UED 375b and UDH 888v that were used in their work.
Enanga said that katumba wamala was surveyed for 6 moths before the attack.
He also noted that various attacks in the country have also been done by the gang.
“The aggravated robberies alleged to this terror group the Ntale bakery in Kalerwe they robbed 33 millions in 2017, Nansana cheap hard ware stores where they allegedly robbed 300 million, city supermarket in Mpereewe where they robbed 2.2 million and 4.5 million from a mobile money attendant.
Police has said that these acts are intended to create destabilisation of peace and security by creating a sense of fear and panic among the public
