Catherine Ninsiima, a ten year old girl has braved the challenges of walking 350KMs in order to reach Namugongo shrine in Uganda.

According to her, the hope is that her father returns to help pay school fees and other basic needs for the family.

Despite the absence of her parents on the sacred pilgrimage, Ninsiima stood head held high, nurtured by the love and support of her relatives and the embrace of the Catholic community.

Her 72-year-old grandmother, weathered by the years, was not left behind but she summoned the strength to traverse the entire distance, a testament to the profound devotion that resonated within their family.
