Uganda to benefit from the Kenya-Uganda agribusiness symposium and exibition

On Tuesday evening, a delegation of Ugandan ministers and other government officials led by Hon. Francis Mwebesa the Minister of Trade Industry and Cooperatives arrived in Kenya to participate in the two day Kenya-Ugamda Agribusiness Symposium and exhibition that stared today and ends tomorrow 9th September 2021.

The symposium which is was held in Mombasa, Kenya included Uganda’s High Commissioner to the Republic of Tanzania, H.E James Kinobe Uganda’s Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan among other members.

The symposium running under the theme “unlocking the full potential of Agribusiness to enhance export performance from national development” is expected to bring together different agribusiness and agricultural stakeholders including farmer association and cooperatives, financial service providers and others drawn from the East African region (EAC)

Zawedde said that farmers will be able to consolidate thier markets in Kenya and also discover new existing trade opportunities and also discuss available opportunities in the agriculture sector in the two countries.
