Local singer, Kankunda Nina aka Nina Roz, has advised all victims of HIV to embrace themselves once they learn of their status. Nina said that these should know that it’s not the end and there is a whole lot of a support system for them.

Further, Nina said that there is power in knowing who you are. One can therefore overcome anything after embracing their real self. And being HIV positive doesn’t mean one is going to die.

The former Black Market records singer also added that for musicians, they do music for such people and still care about how they feel.

“There is power in knowing who you are. Once you embrace yourself and who you are, you can overcome anything. And besides, being HIV positive doesn’t mean you are going to die. We are here for you, we do music for you and still care about you,” the singer said while at an HIV campaign crusade spearheaded by MC Kats at Cavendish University.

Nina Roz meanwhile has been a great advocate of drug non-usage. Being a victim of heavy drug abuse, the Enyonta singer has spoken up vocally against drug abuse.

She’s even gone a step further in helping to rehabilitate drug addicts. Nina is basically one of the musicians using her voice and position to create a positive impact in her society.
