President Museveni has vowed to keep social media giant Facebook shut down in Uganda over claims that the social media giant is arrogant. “Facebook are arrogant. They were being used to attack us. When our own people tried to answer back they shut us” he said.
Mr Museveni has made the remarks today while meeting media owners at statehouse Nakasero. “It has been 2yrs since Facebook was chased out. I hope Facebook now knows who is in charge of Uganda. When they stop playing” he said.
Museveni said nothing has changed in Uganda since Facebook was shutdown. “Isn’t everything running normally? Hope they know who owns Uganda …when they stop playing their games, we will reopen” Museveni reasserted.
