Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan is a businesswoman with several investments and properties. The boss lady resides in South Africa where she runs her businesses. The 42-year-old gained fame when she dated Tanzanian bongo star Diamond Platnumz but broke up with him.
The primary source of her wealth is an inheritance from her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga. According to Briefly, her net worth is estimated at US$8.8 million (KSh 1.09 billion), placing her among the richest women in East Africa.
The musician was born in Uganda on September 23, 1980. She started singing while still young, precisely during her days in primary school. She used to perform in community competitions, her school’s end-year functions, and musical concerts.
She completed her secondary education at Jinja Girls High School. While in secondary school, she was a member of music, drama, and dance groups and her talent earned her the award for the best actress for two consecutive years.
Her high school life was characterized by years of electrifying school concerts and stage performances. After high school, she moved to live in Kampala, where she made money by performing karaoke in different hangouts. Zari co-founded the college with her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga who died on May 25, 2017. BCC is headquartered in Pretoria and has satellite campuses in Polokwane, Durban, Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Vereeniging, and Rustenburg.
The college’s fees range from R3,450 (KSh 24,793) to R6,450 (KSh 46,353) depending on the course. The socialite resides in a lavish mansion in South Africa befitting her status. The house features a stunning living room, majestic dining area, and kitchen with goldfish, cream, and white colors.
It has a large swimming pool and a backyard with nice flowers. The mother of five bought the new mansion in an upscale neighborhood in Pretoria. The apartment takes the tally of Zari’s houses to four. She owned three other houses with Ssemwanga.
The businesswoman drives luxurious rides as posted on her social media platforms. She customized the vehicles with her name. Her list includes a Mercedes Benz SUV, Range Rover, Mercedes Benz AMG, and the Bentley that Diamond helped her purchase
