Hannah Karema, the reigning Miss Uganda, recently shared her personal struggles with being labeled as Rwandese and its impact on her and her family.
Karema revealed that being called Rwandese deeply affected her, leading her to feel alienated and worried that people wouldn’t accept her because she wasn’t considered a true Ugandan.
Born in Nakaseke, Karema lost her mother at a young age and was raised solely by her father, who played a significant role in shaping her into the woman she is today.
