Zari Hassan’s husband, Shakib Cham, has expressed interest in stepping into the boxing ring with singer Harmonize.
Currently, Harmonize is gearing up for a match with Tanzanian professional boxer Hassan Mwakinyo. The singer shared a conversation he had with Shakib via direct messages. In the screenshot, Shakib reached out to Harmonize proposing a boxing match with proceeds going to charity.
“Would love to have a boxing match with you in Tanzania. We could raise money for charity as well. Hope to hear from you soon on this,” read Shakib’s message to Konde Boy.
In response, Harmonize asked Shakib to allow him to focus on his upcoming match with Mwakinyo, suggesting that it might change Shakib’s mind.
“Watch this one first. It might make you want to change your mind,” Harmonize said. Harmonize shared the screenshots with a message for Zari.
“Zari, are you aware of this? Your man is trying to play with death,” he warned.
While preparing for his match with Mwakinyo, the Tanzanian singer was caught on camera fighting with the boxer at a gym after their confrontation escalated.
He later apologized.
“I apologize to anyone who came across the video of the conflict with Hassani of Tanga,” Harmonize said.
“Personally, I never thought he was serious. I used to consider him a person of words only on the internet, but unfortunately, yesterday when I entered the gym, he uttered contemptuous words and insults, even involving my parents.”
“As a human, maybe I should have exercised more wisdom. But anger led to the controversy. It’s enough to say that there is a need to protect my respect.”
