Olympic village records more positive cases as Olympics ceremony is set for opening

The Olympic village set out in Tokyo-Japan has had a rise in covid19 cases as over 21 participants test positive and 12 new cases as on Thursday.

The positive cases were from athletees that were part of the participants in the Tokyo Olympics and paralympics.

Authorities have either sent them packing or put them in “covid protocol”.

11,000 athletes from over 200 countries are expected to participate in the Olympics.

The United States of America frost lady Jill Biden will be among the 950 dignitaries expected to take part at the opening ceremony.

The Olympics games were postponed from last year due to the covid 19 pandemic.
