Hon. Kyagulanyi expresses anger for not attending Zambia’s swearing in ceremony saying all efforts to atte d were frustrated

NUP’s president and musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi has expressed his anger for not attending Zambia’s swearing in ceremony by former Zambia Opposition leader incoming president Hakinde Hichilema.

The former legislator who did not really say who or what exactly hindered his attendance said in a post that he could not attend the ceremony due to frustrated efforts.

Yesterday I communicated to president Hakinde Inaguaral Committee and expressed deep retreat for not attending this momentous event, after all my efforts to travel to Zambia were frustrated” he said.

In a letter addressed to Kyagulanyi on the 20th August 2021, the Secretary General’s office of the United Party for National Development in which Hichilema belongs to sent Kyagulanyi an invitation to attend the inauguration of Hichilema and Mrs Mutale Nalumango as President and vice president of the republic of Zambia respectively.

“Once again, I congratulate His Excellency Hakinde Hichilema for his resounding victory”. Kyagulanyi said.

“I also congratulate and thank His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu for affording his nation the well deserved peaceful transfer of power” he added.

The new Zambia president posted thanking his supporters and promising them service delivery.

“It’s done! and now it’s time to get down to some serious work that will deliver development to all zambians” he posted
