Buganda caucus to discuss rampant Masaka killings and solutions to the murders

The Buganda caucus has set to meet after killings resumed in greater Masaka.

The killings that started on 21st July last month saw an escalation of murdered with the latest that happened on Monday Auguts 2021 where an 80 year old woman was killed.

Abed Bwanika the MP Kimanya and former presidential candidate said that they will meet to find out the reasons as to why the killings are mostly in greater Masaka.

Speaking to one resident of Masaka who preferred anonymity, he said that this may be politically motivated because the people of the region did not vote the current government.

However speaking to journalists on Monday, the police spokespersons Fred Enanga dismissed those allegations.

Since 21 July 2021, over 28 people have been killed by unknown people with police still looking for answers to the murders which at first were thought to be caused by land wrangles

What is interesting is most of the targeted victims are the elderly.

Ramathn Lubega, Sowedi Kayemba, Ibrahim Ssebwana, Paul Galiwango, Richard Mbazira, Joyce Nantale and Fred Bukenya whose house was set ablaze with 10 others inside where some of the victims who were killed by the machete wielding men.
