Makerere University draws plan for completion of semester one 2020/2021 examinations.

When the covid19 pandemic hit the country hard leading to a rapid increase in deaths due to the virus, President Museveni was forced to close all education institutions leaving students in limbo on when they will complete and go to the next level in education. Businesses and other public places holding large crowds were also closed in order to contain the situation.

It was reported that a few schools had actually had students infected something the school heads could not come out to reveal due to fear of closure leading to collapse of business.

It is on this note that Makerere Unviresity revealed a plan on how student who had not competeled thier exams are to continue with them.

The university Academic Registra, Alfred Masikye Nomoah revealed that after a series of meetings with top management, the university council and Senate approved the alternative modes of assessment for completion of the semester one 2020/2021 exams after the college boards met, selected and submitted the most appropriate alternative modes of assessment for the respective programmes/ course units.

” The University has scheduled the examinations to start on 13th September 2021 up to the 30th of September 2021″. The University AR said.

“First year and continuing students who have pending semester one examinations are informed accordingly and should prepare to sit the examinations”. He added.

Detailed examination schedules and timetables have been drawn, department heads requested to circulate them and sensitive students on the exam modalities and other relevant information.

The AR informed those with outstanding debts to contact thier respective bursars to be guided on the new payment procedures and regestration for those who have not.
