A Masindi based Ugandan Journalist has been shot to death Wednesday early morning.
According to police reports, Gerald Asera was shot dead by a private security guard who saw the late walking in the wee hours of the night and shot at him in the chest.
Gerald died moments after he was rushed to Masindi General hospital.
By press time, the Police had not yet issued any statement over the incident but said that they are investigating the matter.
On April 30th 2021 Moses Kagolo, a UBC journalist and former Uganda Journalist Association president was shot dead at his late brother’s home by a Local Defense personnel after a misunderstanding ensued between the two when Kagolo came back from his late brother’s funeral in the village and entered the house.
