William Ruto who identifies himself as a chicken seller of the “Hustler nation” on Tuesday afternoon became the 5th Kenyan president.
The 55 year old who stood up for presidency for the first time and won, grew up living a simple life earning a living though selling chicken and groundnuts by the roadside in rural areas of the Rift Valley.
Mr Ruto was sorn in as the President of the republic of Kenya in the presence of 20 African heads of state.
Bishop Mark who blessed the newly elected president and his deputy, Chakagua advised the leaders to always pray while doing their work and praised God that “you cab change a chicken seller to president”.
A 21 gun salute was made in his honor as new president.
On 9th August, Kenya went to the polls to elect its new leader after Uhuru Kenyatta’s two terms expired which does not allow him to stand again in an election hence making Ruto emerge winner with 50.5% votes.
