Nadduli speaks out on son Jakana’s abrupt death, Akolimidde a bavandimwe

Former Minister without Portfolio, Hajji Abdul Nadduli has described his son, Jakana Sulayiman Nadduli’s death as devastating and would have gone with several others. Jakana Nadduli was found dead on Monday morning.

He previously contested for MP in Nakaseke District. He however lost the bid but remained critical to the government. He was recently arrested, allegedly harassed, and detained on charges relating to sectarianism. He was recently released by the magistrate’s court in Luwero where he was barred from social media sentiments.

While speaking to radio CBS FM 89.2 on Monday morning, Hajji Nadduli confirmed the death of his son. He also indicated that “Jakana would have died with so many other people according to the way I see people. The bavandimwe will now be satisfied. But anyway, they will also die.” Nadduli said

Opposition leaders, Dr. Kizza Besigye and Robert Kyagulanyi mourned the demise of the 37-year-old activist. Besigye linked Jakana’s death to alleged torture when he was arrested. He was speaking on NTV on Monday morning.

Jakana has since been granted bail had health complications. In March this year, he was also involved in an accident many social media enthusiasts say was staged. He will be buried in Kapeeka, Nakaseke District on Monday evening.
