The Albertine Region Police Spokesman Julius Hakiza has confirmed that 4 people died and several others seriously injured in an accident along Hoima – Butiaba Road last evening.
Hakiza told our reporter that the accident took place when a Kenyan Registered trailer registration number KTB/426K/ZE 0752 knocked a motorcycle registration number UFS 150G at Waaki bridge.
Hakiza identified the dead as Ahamed Abdaloye and Ahamed Detho both Kenyan citizens and Boy Munguromo a pedestrian while the identity of the motorcycle rider was not immediately known.
An eye witness Geoffrey Okumu blamed the accident on overspeeding by the trailer driver at a sharp bend at Waaki bridge along Hoima -Butiaba Road in Buliisa District.
