The deputy president of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua and Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja, have disagreed on the public transport question in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja ordered the removal of Public Service Vehicles from the Nairobi Central Business District a move which Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has opposed, saying it would hurt businesses owned by Mt Kenya people.
Gachagua reminded Sakaja that it is he who mobilised Mt Kenya voters to support him in the just concluded 2022 election and yet he is the same person taking away the business they thrive on.
During the commissioning of an ICT infrustructer in Nyeri county, the deputy president warned that SAKAJA’S move will deprive his supports of jobs if he goes on with his plans adding that Mt Kenya people chose him and he should not do things without consulting them.
