Many European companies have banned Chines social media platform TikTok on all official mobile phones due to fears of harvesting information on their phones.
Denmark’s Public service broadcaster and the BBC are the first stations to ban the social media App on all company phones due to fears that TikTok could share the information Chines.
The staff has been allowed to use the App on their private phones.
The app has been banned on government phones in the UK and elsewhere.
Countries imposing bans include the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Belgium, while the same applies to anyone working at the European Commission.
TikTok said it was disappointed with the BBC’s decision.
