Socialite Zari Hassan faced a distressing incident at her Munyonyo residence in Uganda on Wednesday night, falling prey to a bold burglary while she was away. The audacious thieves left her armed guard with severe injuries after overpowering him during the intrusion.
Zari revealed that the intruders forcibly entered her home, assaulting her security personnel and making off with a substantial amount of valuables worth millions of shillings.
Their brazen act extended to interrogating Zari’s family members about specific items and attempting to steal her cars.
In a Snapchat update, Zari disclosed, “They tied my security guard up and took a lot of stuff from the house. They literally butchered him, sliced his ear off, and cut through his head…he was badly, brutally butchered.
They got into the house, woke my family members up asking ‘where’s this, where’s that’ and managed to get away with quite a lot of things.”
Despite the psychological toll on her family, Zari, who has been in Uganda for several weeks, is determined to bring the culprits to justice. Collaborating closely with the Uganda Police, she aims to expedite the investigation, particularly as a firearm was stolen during the robbery.
As she prepares for the All White Party in Kigali on December 29th, Zari remains resolute in her pursuit of justice, sending a clear message that she will not be deterred by the unfortunate incident.
