TV presenter and music manager Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, has reached out to singer Eddy Kenzo, urging him to return the female musician Fille Mutoni if she’s become a burden to the Uganda National Musicians Federation.
Last week, Kats expressed his dissatisfaction with Kenzo, who serves as the Federation’s president. The NBS TV presenter sought financial assistance from the federation to organize Fille’s concert later this year. However, he was allegedly directed to Kenzo’s manager, a move that left Kats visibly upset.
In response, Kenzo stated that Fille is currently in rehab, receiving support from the federation. He implied that Kats might have played a role in Fille’s situation.
Now, Kats has stated that if Kenzo feels burdened by taking care of Fille, he should return her to him. Kats claims he has the means to take care of Fille and fund her rehabilitation, as he has done in the past.
“I want to tell Eddy that if they are tired of looking after Fille, they should return her to me. I can gladly take care of the rehab process because that is something I have done for the past couple of years.
Fille is a girl from the church, and Apostle Grace had once offered free rehab services. The Federation should stop acting like they are doing me a favor, as she’s a fellow singer entitled to the federation benefits,” said Kats.
Meanwhile, there is advice for MC Kats to refrain from helping musicians, as his efforts often lead to public disputes about their gratitude towards him.
