Recently, the Uganda Police, in collaboration with other security agencies, has intensified efforts to crack down on civilians wearing military attire.
This initiative has predominantly targeted supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) who don red berets and overalls similar to those worn by security personnel.
The latest development in this clampdown sees the popular figure, Alien Skin, potentially becoming the next target. A civilian, Innocent Ainebyona, has petitioned the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) offices, urging action against Alien Skin.
In his petition, Ainebyona emphasized the seriousness of the issue, highlighting concerns over civilians donning military-like outfits. It is noteworthy that Ainebyona was the same individual who previously petitioned the Uganda Police, leading to the arrest of Alien Skin.
As the crackdown continues, the situation for Alien Skin appears increasingly precarious, pending the CID’s response to the latest petition.
