A fatal road crash occurred today, August 25, 2024, at Kitubulu along Entebbe Highway, resulting in the loss of two lives. The accident involved a Toyota Wish (UBK 114K) and a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle (UFB 988K).
The collision happened when the driver of the Toyota Wish, traveling from Entebbe, struck the motorcycle as it was making a U-turn on the same route. The impact caused the Toyota Wish to roll several times, leading to a devastating outcome.
Tragically, both the motorcycle rider, identified as Mberobata, and the passenger, Mugaga Vian, an employee of Capital Pub, lost their lives in the accident. Their bodies have been transported to Mulago City Mortuary, while the vehicles involved have been towed to Entebbe Police Station.
The driver of the Toyota Wish is currently at large, and police investigations are ongoing. SP Michael Kananura has urged all motorists to observe speed limits and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragic incidents.
