The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has warned those he calls terrorists destabilising Uganda’s security that thier time is over amd the best they can do is surrender or get shot.
While speaking at Kololo during the swearing in of remaining Ministers who had not earlier been sworn in as others, the President gave warning shots to the “Terrorists” but insisted road block will never be mounted for thier sake which if done hinders peace of the public who have no hand in causing insecurity and he said “road blocks are just blind”
Museveni while referencing on the attempted killing of transport and works minister Katumab wamala advised those destabilising the country to surrender or get shot.
“And terrorists please I warn you do not run. If we come surrender, if you try to run your dead”. he said.
Yo have Ben waiting for trouble now your going to get it. You have been killing now your going to die”. The president added.
Museveni said that those killing people and think they will get away with thier actions should think again because the government is not willing to just look on as it’s people are dying.
You surrender, tell us, you shall go to jail but thinking that you can kill our people and survive your deciving yourself. You will die”. He added.
However the president also warned social media users who were spreading rumors of his death.
“Social media apparently has been saying museveni is dead. Now the other day I went this side of bomno to lay a foundation stone and people were looking eh because they were being told by social media that museveni is dead or something like that”. He said.
In order to stop such information from circulating, the President said that security officials should do something about it.
“Security service need to also solve that problem. I need to check with them to locate quickly the ones who tell such a story because you waste people’s time. They should go for you”. He added.
Of late unknown gunmen have been killing people such as the late IGP Felix Kaweesi and this year an attempted assassin on general Katumba Wamala which took he’s daughter’s life and driver
