“Access our online services for National IDs”. NIRA encourages online services to limit physical visits due to covid infections

The National Identification and Regeneration Authority (NIRA) has introduced more online services to the public to access rather than physical visits to the head offices in Kololo in a bid to reduce the spread of covid.

The government agency said that the public can access services such as confirmation of thier National Identification Numbers (NINs), letters of certification of Information and Tracking status of applications on thier official website www.nira.go.ug or visit any of thier 117 offices across the country.

The agency said that this move not only reduces chances of covid spread but also eases access to services by the public who will not have to commute to the head offices for assistance.

The public has always had a hard time getting regestered for thier National Identities (IDs) and obtaining them ever since they were introduced in 2015 some of whom had to make a bribe to officials in order to be worked upon
