John Baptist Nambeshe while traveling to his constituency early Saturday, got involved in what he termed as “horrible accident”.
The accident happened at Mbiko, Njeru municipality.
The legislator said that he had travelled as usually is the case on weekends but u fortunately got an accident ramming into a bodaboda.
Eye witnesses say that when he hit the boda, he continued moving until they surrounded his car and almost lyched him calling the attention of Police officers.
Residents in the area said that the road is poorly constructed with no humps which makes vehicles over speed even in corners.
Fortunately for him, Nambeshe and his driver went away with no physical injuries but the legislator’s physician according to him, advised he visits a doctor for check up.
‘‘I am rushing to a hospital now because a physician told me I need to do more tests to be sure if I didn’t suffer a blood clot or other similar conditions,’’ he said.
John Baptist Nambeshe is the Chief Opposition Whip in the 11th Parliament and also MP for Manjiya County (Bududa district
