The government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa has commended the police on their work after the twin bomb explosions that happened this week Tuesday morning at Central Police Station (CPS) and near Parliamemt.
This comes after mixed reactions from the public with some members condemning the Police over laxity in security measures.
According to Tayebwa, the Police did well in their operations in the bomb explosion aftermath.
“I have seen some people say talk about the response of police…you know, they did a magnificent job considering the situation that was here. they did a magnificent job” Tayebwa said.
Today, Parliament is expected to be briefed on the security situation in the country as it resumes it’s plenary sitting today after parliament suspended its sitting since the explosions.
the briefing will be dome by either the security Minister or prime Minister of Uganda.
