A mother has killed her self and child after having a misunderstanding with her husband.
The mother identified as Angel Nanyonjo residing in Kabundi trading center, Mateete sub-county in Ssembabule district is believed to have used a chemical that kills weed to end both her and her eight month old baby.
According to residents, they found the mother helpless and tried to rush her to hospital bit unfortunately, died before she could get to the hospital.
Speaking in connection to the incident, the Southern regional police spokesperson Muhammad Nsubuga condemned such acts and advised for couples to seek help through the elderly, area Local leaders or the Police family protection unit other than committing suicide.
The bodies were taken to the hospital to run a postmortem on the bodies to find out what could have been the cause of death as investigations proceed.
