Military bars Kyagulanyi from Going to Kayunga ahead of by-elections

The National Unity Platform President and former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi was today morning barred from leaving his home ahead of a planned visit to Kayunga District to campaign for his candidate in the by-elections.

On his social media account, Kyagulanyi posted videos showing security forced parked outside his home, making sure he doesn’t leave for Kayunga.

Speaking about the incident, he accused the police and Military of attempting to block him from leaving his home.

Kyagulanyi took to his tweeter account posting “This morning ahead of my planned visit to Kayunga Distrct to campaign for out flag bearer, the police and military deployed overnight around my home in an apparent attempt to block me from leaving. the cowardly regime is on it’s way out. A matter of time”

“The military has increased deployment around my home. No one is allowed to leave or enter. Our security guard and gardener have been violently arrested, beaten and bundled into ‘drones’ parked outside our gate. Their phones have been confiscated. Other young men in the area are being arrested and taken away in mobile prisons”. He posted on Facebook.

The by-election is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
