Over time we learn of disheartening stories from our African sisters and brothers on Kyeyo in the Middle East. These are subjected to all different kinds of torture. From having their body organs harvested, beaten, treated like animals, and being defaulted plus other crimes such as sexual assault.
These are usually inflicted by the Arabs there and hardly is torture from their fellow blacks. However, a voice note of a Ugandan girl told her tale of how she met her doomsday via a Ugandan. Charity as she calls herself in this message says that she met this guy who told her to come from Saudi Arabia and meet him in Dubai.
From there, he promised to get her a job. They consequently met and he took her to a place known as Gate space. They did whatever they had to do since she was in love with him and later got her the job.
However, when she went for the medical, she couldn’t get past them as she was told that she’s got HIV. She can be heard in this voice note crying towards the mother as she doesn’t know the next course of action.
“Mama, I’m in total disbelief now. I got this guy while in Saudi and he told me to meet him in Dubai and that he will get me a job. From the airport, in Saudi, I went to Dubai and he picked me up. We started living together as he searched for a job. Mama, I was in love with him as you know and we started off.
Mama, I got the job but they told me that I can’t work because I’m sick. They took me for a medical and found that I have HIV. Mama I Charity has HIV. What am I to do, please tell me something, Mama?” She painfully says.
