The UPDF have arrested and handed to Police a truck driver who last night rammed into UPDF’ Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Mbasu Mbadi’s car.
The driver who was still unidentified reportedly drove into the CDF’s convoy which had a lead car, with both lights and a siren on, before hitting the General’s own car. The incident happened Thursday night at around 11:30pm according to UPDF Spokesperson Brig Felix Kulayigye.
Kulayigye says Gen Mbadi was returning from a meeting in Mbuya when the lorry driver “circumvented” his lead car, and “headed for the principle’s car which he hit.”
“Soldiers opened fire deflating the attacking or aggressive lorry. Police arrested the driver” he added.
