Shock grief and tears have shocked residents of Kyabasari village, Mukyenzige Town Council in Kagadi district after a teenager identified as Chance Annet committed suicide by hanging.
Our reporter has been able to establish that Chance Annet who has been a senior two student at St. Mary’s PRT Secondary School Kinyarugonjo last year completed form one and was set to report for form two studies.
Chance 16, a daughter to Mugwaneza Simon was found hanging in her living room. Mugwaneza told our reporter that he went to the bank, deposited his Children’s School fees, Chance inclusive.
He confided to our reporter that as he watched the Television, he called all his children, but didn’t see Chance. When they went looking for her they found her in her room after she had hanged herself.
“Willing myself doesn’t make sense, father remove your money you have deposited, let me die because where I am going, I will suffer as I was, stay in peace with my family, everybody sees me as a bad person. I have tried to make these things good but it didn’t come out, don’t blame Uncle Philemon for my death, it was my opinion”, writes Chance Annet, now the deceased. God forgive me.
