The much-anticipated music showdown between two of Uganda’s best female musicians went down yesterday and Hon Thomas Tayebwa the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, has come out to declare the winner.
Tayebwa was present as the guest of honor as thousands of fans turned up to support their favorite artists. The show went down as planned and though with its own flaws, fans really had a good time.
Lots of opinions are still flying in up to now on who could have been the winner. Most opinions and online polls seem to give the King Herself, Cindy Sanyu a massive landslide win.
Her vocals were on point and without a doubt, she’s very good with live music. It is something that she does so effortlessly and knows it is her biggest tool.
However, when it came to charming the crowd and throwing them in the party vibe, nobody could have done it better than Sheebah.
She might not have angelic melodies, but she surely knows how to hustle her way to the top. Sheebah put up an energetic performance from the word go. It was electrifying in her section and the party was surely brought to the Independence Grounds.
However, declaring the winner depends on lots of factors but above all personal preference. According to Hon Thomas Tayebwa, it was an outright draw. Both ladies were fantastic and he couldn’t conclude by stating the obvious winner. He, therefore, declared a draw between the two camps.
