Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine wonders why Police stopped his countrywide tour in the name of a ‘bomb scare’ while they allowed a music battle event with tens of thousands of people to happen in the hearts of Kampala.
Bobi Wine talked about this while congratulating the two music giants Sheebah Karungi and Cinderella Sanyu who held a successful battle as the two showcased together in a live concert.
The event was held at Kololo Grounds in Kampala just 2 days after police released a statement banning all National Unity Platforms due to failure to adhere to laws.
Bobi Wine wonders how the Police can claim that there are terror alerts in Kampala and all over the country and use it as an excuse to ban his countrywide tour yet they allowed a concert that had multitudes in Kampala to happen.
“Very importantly, I hope we can all see that the FAKE BOMB SCARE was a creation of the panicky regime to block our activities. I hope Enanga will not come to tell us that terrorists go to sleep when all other gatherings are going on but wake up during #NUPCountryWideTours. Tujja Tujja!” Bobi Wine said.
On September 11th, two days before NUP countrywide activities were banned, Police wrote a statement directing NUP Leaders to only hold meetings in town halls and to stop with immediate effect having processions and open rallies since there are terror threats from D.R. Congo-based terrorist group ADF.
He therefore believes that the terror threat was a made-up threat to stop his mobilization tour.
