Next Media has reportedly suspended senior news anchor Samson Kasumba following his posts on X (formerly Twitter), where he warned young people against participating in the #March2Parliament protest.
The decision to suspend Kasumba was made during a top management meeting yesterday. The meeting concluded that his posts regarding the protest had violated Next Media’s Social Media Policy.
Kasumba’s posts included several controversial opinions and exchanges with his followers, which contributed to the decision for his suspension.
This suspension follows a similar incident involving his colleague, Simon Njala Kaggwa, who was suspended in June for related issues.
