Kabaka of Buganda goes abroad for health review after months of being ill

The katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has informed the public that the king (Kabaka) Ronald Mutebi of Buganda took fight abroad to get a health review among other reasons.


In a press briefing held at the Mengo palace in Kampala, the prime minister (Katikiro) of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga informed the public that the king first landed in Amsterdam to meet with “Kabaka foundation” members, an organisation that helps those with illlnesed such as Aids and cancer before proceeding with his journey.

According to the Katikiro, the Kabaka was received by the Ambassador of Uganda to Germany Marcel Tibaleka together with other dignitaries.

Katikiro Mayiga said that the Kabaka foundation has played a big role in people’s lives by vaccinating those with hepatitis B, blood donation drives among other things.

The Kabaka has been ill for some time now and during his birthday in April sceptics accused the government of trying to do away with the King
