A man identified as Ali Mustafa died while making love to his girlfriend who has since been identified as Adania Ratyo.
The couple was reportedly having a good time at Avenue lodge in Arua City when the incident happened.
The Kampala Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, said the girlfriend reported the matter to Police and his body was moved from the lodge at 9pm for postmortem analysis.
Onyango said it was established that Mustafa developed respiratory failure while making love to his girlfriend, and that no drugs or any other substance that could cause death was found in his system.
“Mustafa’s body was moved from the lodge at 9pm on Saturday night. It was however established that he developed respiratory failure while making love with his girlfriend. No drugs any other substance that would cause death was found in his system,” Onyango told journalists during the Police weekly security briefing at their headquarters in Naguru.
“A person dying while making love is not something new. Police established that the girlfriend had nothing to do with Mustafa’s death and has since been freed from custody,” Onyango said.
According to bigthink.com, an online health awareness portal, death while making love can be caused by the physical strain of the sexual activity, or prescription drugs (drugs to treat erectile dysfunction, for example), or illegal drugs, such as cocaine – or both.
The portal also reveals that at times it come as a result of one’s unhealthy respiratory system.
