While speaking on a local radio station on Saturday moring, the legislator said that the government has done so little yet it had alot of time to prepare and added that the president has in the same way done nothing much for the over 30 years he has been I  power especially in the area of health.

Speaking on the covid 19 issues, the legislator said that given the fact that Namboole was set up as a model hospital during the pandemic so that patients can get treatment there due to the overwhelming numbers that filled up the government hospitals, other model hospitals would also have been set up in stadiums such as Nakivubo which has not been done.

The hospitals constructed by Milton Obote the best that Museveni has been able to do to some  of them is to paint them not to expand them. Not to build new ones. How many structures have been prepared for the next eventualities?  He said.

Ssegona also noted how alot of spending was done on “one person” [Museveni] when MPs and other dignitaries are mandated to get vaccinated before meeting him rather than focusing on vaccination and procurement of vaccines.

“If we had planned to procure these vaccines, by the time India closed we would have finished the vaccination programme.  We tend to be spending much on an individual.” He pointed out.

Simon wakida did not support the move of giving people money but rather said government would have set conditions for people to fend for themselves by focusing on vaccination because the government does not have capacity to feed all Ugandans.

“The other day I saw cars coming. You are bringing cars now when seemingly two phases have passed. What are you going to use those cars for? I would In fact focus on saying ok let’s get many vaccines as we can from all corners”.

Uganda has been facing problems with hospitalisation and host pal equipment inadequacies such as oxygen which is vital during the pandemic
