After being bounced from Ministry Internal affairs offices, Swangz Avenue singer Winfred Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi is suffering another embarrassment. The star singer who recently staged a record breaking concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval was denied entry at Club Illusion in Kampala and ordered to pay UGX 25000.
Sources that were at the club by the time the incident happened revealed to Boom Uganda that Nwagi arrived without cash and thought her celebrity status would earn her free entry.
Minutes later, Nwagi was seen walking away with her head buried in shame as she couldn’t contemplate what had just happened to her. However, Nwagi has condemned the habit of nightlife spot owners who charge artists entrance fees, saying it is not right.
“An artist deserves the right to come into a club to enter for free, When you see Fire Babe coming with her friends, let her enter, ” Winnie Nwagi said.
“And you club bouncers or waitresses, act smart when you see a celebrity. Even if your boss has given you an order, please don’t shame artists because they play a big role in entertaining your customers,” she added.
