The first son and Presidential advisor, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has told Ugandan journalists who abuse him that no one will be in position to protect them in case he takes over power in years to come. Gen Muhoozi is the only son of the current president of Uganda H. E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He has been in power for more than 35 years and he seems not no plans of retiring soon.
Some Ugandans have been wanting change but the elections that decide are always in favor of Museveni. It looks like no one will be in position to change anything. With the youth having the biggest population in Uganda at the moment, they want someone young like them to connect with in politics.
That’s how singer Bobi Wine, now the president of National Unity Platform (NUP) swept the central region in number in the last 2021 general elections.
Before Bobi Wine stood against President Museveni, he was friends with Gen Muhoozi. The two used to hang out together but after joining politics, they both separated. The two started attacking each other on social media.
Gen Muhoozi has been using Twitter in the last two years to communicate whatever he wants to communicate. Most of his tweets are controversial. Last month he tweeted about Uganda attacking Kenya and his father had to issue an apology on his behalf to Kenyans.
Recently, Gen Muhoozi went ahead to tweet on how he is willing to contest as the President of Uganda because he wants to please his mother. Now he has talked about Journalists that abuse him. He said he will not be able to protect them once he is in power.
“For some of those journalists that like to abuse us… Let me say, nobody will protect you when we come to power! You’ll feel us soon. We will crush you!!!,” Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba tweeted.
