Pius Mayanji Alias Palaso is one of the few musicians who were able to grace the Kabaka’s bithday in Mengo palace.
The musician donned a white Kanzu (Tunic) and brown jacket and had some guests entertained when he sang for the King of Buganda.
Students from various schools had the opportunity to sing to the Kabaka as well.
The Kabaka’s people also sent out birthday messages to him who included Government and Kingdom officials, and his subjects. MPs including Balimwezo Ronald of Nakawa division also sent out their messages to the Kabaka.
“As leaders from Buganda region, we would like to thank the Kabaka for celebrating his 68 years. We appreciate all the work he has done such as fighting the insufficiency of blood in hospitals through drives to encourage his people to donate blood”. He said.
