Media personality and emcee Caroline Marcah, real name Caroline Mirembe, has shared how her close friendship with fellow emcee MC Kats affected her romantic relationships.
Marcah revealed that she was in a relationship at the time, but her boyfriend ended things, believing the rumors circulating on social media about her and MC Kats.
The two media personalities present themselves publicly as best friends, a bond that deepened during the COVID-19 lockdown when everyone was facing difficulties.
During that period, MC Kats was dealing with significant personal challenges, having recently disclosed his HIV status to the public.
This revelation led to stigmatization and bullying on social media, driving him into depression and causing conflicts with close ones, including his baby mama, singer Fille Mutoni.
Caroline Marcah was one of the few who stood by MC Kats, offering him support during his tough times. Their close bond sparked rumors of a romantic relationship, but Marcah insists they were never more than friends.
“MC Kats and I are best friends, although people think we’re dating. This friendship cost me a lot, especially in my love life. My boyfriend left me thinking I was actually dating MC Kats,” Marcah explained.
