A popular TikToker known as “Mr. TikTok Deno” was arrested by Kampala police this morning following accusations of spreading false reports about fellow TikTok user Nalunga, who goes by the handle “Milky Bae.”
Deno, the influencer behind the “Lugambo Nation” TikTok page, was apprehended and taken to Kampala Central Police Station by a team of both uniformed and plain-clothed officers.
A video capturing his arrest quickly circulated online, drawing significant attention from the social media community.
The arrest stems from Deno’s recent claims on his platform regarding alleged leaked private photos and videos of Nalunga. Over the past few days, Nalunga has been targeted by baseless allegations suggesting her nude images were released online by an ex-boyfriend in retaliation for a monetary dispute involving UGX 9 million she reportedly sent him from abroad.
Deno, who has 110,000 followers on TikTok, fueled these rumors by asserting he had exclusive information about the leak. However, these claims have been widely dismissed as false.
While Nalunga has not officially commented on the fabricated videos, she did share a clip of Deno’s arrest on Wednesday morning with the caption, “You will feel it. You thought you were untouchable…trust me (you pressed the wrong button).”
It remains unclear whether Nalunga initiated the legal action against Deno. Additionally, the police have yet to release a statement detailing the specific charges Deno faces or the potential legal consequences of his actions.
