Renowned pastor Wison Bugembe of the Worship House in Nansana has called on the 8th Guild cabinet to take care of “God’s sheep” during their term of office, which was sworn in on Friday last week.
Speaking at the ceremony graced by the Youth Member of Parliament for Northern Region, Hon. Boniface Okot, the pastor asked the cabinet not to despise the people they lead but to work together.
“Some of the people who were number one in class, I am their boss, so Mr Emmanuel and your cabinet take care of God’s sheep”
The pastor asked the new leaders not to judge people by their looks because this would make them miss out on opportunities or advice from those they would despise.
“There was a girl who came shabbily dressed, and I knew these are the girls who want rent, the husband has left but she approached me and said I sold my cows. thank you for preaching to me, and I have a gift. She reached out in her very shabby dirty bag and brought out 10 million. from that day i learned not to judge a book by its cover”.
Prof. Augustine O Ifelebuegu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of the University commended Kintu Emmanuel, the out going guild president for having contributed positively during his term in office.
