And finally…UIA grants covidex proprietor license of operation inclusive of other benefits

Honourable Evlyn Anite the minister of investments has awarded Patrick Ogwang the brain behind the making of Covidex herbal medicine a licence of operation. This event took place in kampala making a new beginning for the Doctor.

In addition to the licence, Ogwang was given other incentives such as a 5 acre pice of land in Soroti to start off the expansion of his Jena herbals Limited company.

In addition,  a 10 year holiday on tax was granted to help the company get up on its feet and pay taxes when it it stable.

Evelyn Anite in her remarks said that the government is ready to give the Mbarara University Doctor a hand whenever possible.

Anite scoffed at those thinking that by dragging Ogwang to courts of law will fail him saying that those people will not succeed because the government will give “all the support needed”.

Patrick Ogwang in his response said that this will b a very big opportunity and over 200 jobs will be created for the locals when the factory is set up.

However the professor said that he is still sourcing for more funds to inject in the project.

Covidex was introduced to the market in june raising a lot of concern about its effectiveness but later on it was accepted by the ministry of health as as a supportive treatment for covid19
