Uganda Maize Traders in fear of losses as high maize prices chase buyers

Nakasero Maize traders are in fear of making more losses as escalated maize prices refuse to reduce.

After the country faced high fuel price costs, goods and services have been revised upward causing many people to buy and consume less of what is on the market.

According to the traders, one of the causes for the hiking of prices is because maize is grown in very few areas and this bring into the factors of price and demand.

with a kilogram of fresh maize going for as much as ugx 1000, traders are finding it hard to profit since people are now buying it in small quantities although they anticipate that in the near future, it will come down.
