Jane Katumbi, the school’s deputy principal, found 16-year-old Francisca Dokee dead in the school dormitory. The incident was reported to Tala Police Station.
Dokee was accused of taking Sh2500 and a packet of pencils by the school management, leading to a case that eventually revealed a discovery.
In the suicide note read by Nairobi Leo, the girl explained her unsuccessful attempts to persuade the school administrators that she was not guilty of theft.

She also had an emotional message to the mum and wished her and the brother well.
“For my mum, bye and I really love you so much. You occupy half of my heart while bro occupies another half. I hope that God may bless the work of your hands and also pray that my bro can succeed in his KCPE,” she said.
“I beg, pray, hope that you will not involve my mum in this because she can die very soon and she still has some tasks to do for my siblings. Hope so mother.”
One of the deceased’s relative who accompanied her mother, Magdalene Mueni, during a postmortem conducted at Kangundo Level 4 Hospital on Friday read the note to journalists, A postmortem revealed that the girl succumbed of suffocation. A confirmation she committed suicide.
“The postmortem has revealed that the child died by suicide. It’s ok,” the relative said, The parents are now demanding answers from the school administration and have faulted them for their kin’s death.
“These are minor souls, they should be handled carefully. Talk to them and take proper disciplinary action. Threatening children to the extent of taking their own lives isn’t good. The child left a note saying….,” She added.
“We accept all because we have nothing to do. We will take the body and go burry.”
