Rema Namakula made the announcement on a Thursday afternoon, revealing that her concert is set to take place on February 23, 2024, at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. In a curious twist, Lydia Jazmine’s concert is slated for March 1, 2024, with both events falling on Fridays.
This scheduling coincidence has led some fans to wonder if there’s a strategic motive behind the proximity of the two concerts. The speculation intensified following revelations from Rema Namakula’s cousin, DJ Vee, who claimed that Jazmine played a role in Namakula’s breakup with her former partner, Eddy Kenzo.
According to DJ Vee, while Rema was away on tour, Jazmine allegedly entered into a relationship with Kenzo, causing strain in Namakula’s romantic life. Rema and Kenzo officially ended their relationship in 2019, though the singer has hinted that the breakup occurred about two years before it became public knowledge.
