Ssebo Tojja Gasima: Bobi Wine Assertively Tells Museveni To Forget Oil Extraction

The leader of the National Unity Platform, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, has come out to bluntly tell President Museveni that he should forget about extracting oil in Hoima. The singer and politician said that as a country, resources and wealth are needed. However, he and his comrades won’t allow these to be overseen by a “thief and murderer.”

He questioned the people if they have ever seen the paperwork concerning the oil to which they said no. Bobi Wine further told the congregants not to listen to NRM propagandists before telling people that both of them and Museveni have an equal share in Uganda.

Kyagulanyi as he is known for his earthquake words directed some at Museveni. He said that even if Museveni dances for 20 hours nonstop, he won’t extract the oil.

“I want to tell you, people, that it’s time to unite and thank the EU for their decree on Ugandan oil. Yes, we want our riches and wealth but we can’t afford to let them be handled by a thug and murderer. So comrades, don’t be scared because we all have an equal share in Uganda just like Museveni. I therefore state and assert that Museveni thinks he’s so big but even if he dances for 20 hours nonstop, he won’t extract that oil,” Bobi Wine said.

Further, he also said that the President is feeling the heat over this issue. This is after news that he’s (M7) going to court over the issue.

Bobi Wine also said that Museveni has now resorted to using minors to protest on his behalf. This follows the recent demonstration by school children telling the EU to leave Ugandan oil alone.

Bobi Wine made the remarks at Kawempe Mosque during the Duwa prayers. This was organized for incarcerated MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya.
