National Unity Platform (NUP) Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is bitter with the First Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for using his photos without his consent. Appearing on radio Uganda which is based in the US state of Boston, Bobi Wine accused Gen. Muhoozi of making himself untouchable and breaking the laws of the land.
“The other time all of you saw him posting my photo with Dr. Kizza Besigye on his Twitter account without our consent because he wanted to insult him. If he was not the son of the president, he would have been charged under the recently signed Computer Misuse Act Amendment 2022 but nothing will happen to him,” Bobi Wine complained.
Recently, Gen. Muhoozi posted on his Twitter handle that he personally likes Dr. Kizza Besigye because he is an elder who they can learn a few things from, unlike Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine alleged that this was an attack on him. Bobi Wine used the same platform to respond to Kampala Central legislator Muhammad Nsereko who was quoted in the media saying that he cannot discuss serious legal and political issues with people like Bobi Wine.
Nsereko advised Bobi Wine that if he wants to discuss any issues, he should go and discuss them with former Lubaga South legislator Paul Kato Lubwama since they are both drama students. Bobi Wine commanded all Ugandans on social media to protest Nsereko’s computer misuse Act as Amended by all means noting that it is very dangerous against human rights.
“Now we have exposed him (Nsereko). He has been lying to our oppressed people that he is with them, yet he is with President Museveni. What I know is that President Museveni is a clever man; now he has used Nsereko to silence us which we cannot allow,” Bobi Wine insisted.
He gave an example that when Museveni got into a misunderstanding with a section of the Muslim community, he used one of them to spy on them and fight them. He praised those who decided to challenge the passed Computer misuse law in the Constitutional court but wondered whether the Courts will deliver justice since they are all working on President Museveni’s directives.
Bobi Wine further pleaded to the diaspora community to be very aggressive against SISIMUKA Uganda boss Frank Gashumba, especially on social media who he said is being used by president Museveni to fight other people in Uganda.
He said that Gashumba is like President Museveni who wants his tribemates to dominate all government institutions and agencies. “That Gashumba is like Museveni, you go and see those people working in URA, UNRA, police, and army, they are all his people. I am not saying that my brothers-in-law from Ankole are benefiting a lot from Museveni’s government,” he said.
However, recently, Gashumbarecently said that Bobi Wine should be very careful when attacking the Banyarwanda community in Uganda because they will be a big factor in determining Uganda’s next president. Gashumba, the coordinator of the Abavandimwe community in Uganda explained that research shows that Banyarwanda is the largest and biggest community in Uganda.
Gashumba called Bobi Wine a fraudster who plays on the minds of young people to enrich himself. He pleaded to the youthful Ugandan community to wake up and think about their future.
During the same radio talk show, Bobi Wine also blasted religious leaders and cultural leaders for sleeping on the job when Ugandans are being harassed, tortured, and killed by the regime. On Saturday night, Bobi Wine had a successful music show in Boston and he is expected to engage people power leaders in Boston to resolve their internal fights.
