One person has been confirmed in another accident involving Global Bus and two other cars. The accident that ended the life of Sulayiti Ssenyonga, 60; happened last evening at Kakyafu, Katovu Town Council along the Masaka-Mbarara Highway.
Preliminary findings show that a motor vehicle Reg No UBK 051M Toyota Wish that was moving from Masaka and heading towards Lyantonde and motor vehicle Reg No UBB 190R Toyota Premio which was also from Lyantonde side heading to Masaka had an encounter with a Global Bus (Isuzu) registration number UBG 034Q that was from Masaka side heading to Mbarara, leaving one dead and six people injured.
Traffic and Road Safety Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima confirmed the incident, attributing it to reckless driving caused by the driver of the Toyota Premio who was overtaking.
